WC:No, apology needed...we can tell the difference between pax who can't hear us and the ones that are listening to their i-pods completely oblivious to our existence;-)and, you've got the coffee answer down so...you're the perfect pax!

Ohhh I totally agree... I always have to ask a few times. Especially when I have people out of New York whose English is a little lacking. Also with the ice. No ice, more ice, little ice, one cube please. Goes right up there with cream and sugar...

plus we don't have milk and that makes a lot of people extra huffy. I said milk, not cream... haha.

Never thought of how irritated Cabin Crew get from asking how you take your coffee or tea. This should be a topic of discussion in CRM sessions (just teasing).

Well if you think that is irritating how do you think cabin crew feel on an LCC selling meals and in some parts of the world haggling over the price.

I fly internationally and the service in the back is a piece of cake - chicken or beef. First class can get a little hairy as my (our) airline does a five course fine dining extravaganza of food which is a bit easier to serve than prepare. There's one flight attendant in the aisle and another in the galley getting everything ready and that can be a challenge on 5-6 hour flights from NYC to the UK.

I apologize in advance, and in arrears, for all those times y'all will think (and did think) that I was a complete moron because you had to ask me the question twice. You see, all I heard was "mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmmm?," it being difficult to hear the flight attendant when I am in 26 E and I hear mostly the slipstream through my not-properly-cleared ears. I know what you were thinking, but it really was my ears. Honest.

When I'm thinking ahead, which isn't often enough to redeem me, I do try to answer the question ahead of time: "Coffee, black please."
